The body of Joseph F. Manning was brought here from Darlington on Monday, and was interred at Maple Ridge by the side of his mother. He was the son of William and Elizabeth Manning and was born in Waveland, Nov. 3, 1899 and died at the home of his uncle, Jasper Manning in Darlington, Friday March 28. He has been ill with tuberculosis and about three weeks ago he was operated on for appendicitis in a hospital in Danville, Ill. Funeral services were held at the home in Darlington by Rev. Mr. Rippatoe, the M. E. minister. Those accompanying the body were William, Jasper, George and Joseph Manning and Mr. and Mrs. Addison Williams. -- kbz
